Watertown
Savings Bank - Main Office
Watertown,Massachusetts
Established
in 1870, the bank has a long and proud history in the community
of Watertown. The old "Union Market Building" represents
the jewel of the two buildings recently acquired by the bank.
Built in the1920's, it still contains a large fresco depicting
a map of Watertown and the surrounding communities at the time
of its settlement in 1670. Currently, renovation plans call
for the transformation of the "Union Market Building"
into the bank's new executive and loan offices. Future plans
call for the renovation of the existing main office once the
executive and loan offices have been relocated.
