Stonehedge Inn - Health Center

Built nearly ten years after completion of the Stonehedge Inn, this 4,000 square foot health spa is the product of frequent requests by visitors for a more distinctive experience. The spa combines an enclosed pool with a retractable screened roof, a hot tub, complete locker room facilities, massage therapy area, outdoor entertainment veranda and tennis courts; all part of the most unique lodging experience north of Boston. Architecturally, the style is consistent with the Inn, but also includes a few twists. Large circular windows dominate the exterior façade of the building, flanking its main entrance. A forty-foot long sunroom enclosure is sandwiched between the two shingle-style ends of the building. During the summer season the upper portion retracts, allowing warm breezes to enter and exit the building. Through the winter months the roof remains closed allowing guests to enjoy the facility during even the most harsh New England weather. The massage therapy area is found on the second floor overlooking the pool and provides the private and intimate environment necessary for long and relaxing sessions. Oak finished locker rooms feature wood paneled cabinets and secure storage for guests and members availing themselves of the spa’s range of amenities. Finally, two tennis courts adjacent to the spa convert into a sheltered entertainment area, which often serves as an ideal wedding reception spot on the weekends from late spring to early fall.
